Scenic Acres - Complete Main Floor Renovation

This renovation project involved the complete transformation of a 1990s home into an open and modern living space. The objective was to enhance functionality and flow while upgrading utilities to meet current standards.

To achieve an open-concept layout, several interior walls and bulkheads were removed, allowing for a brighter, more connected main floor. All Poly-B plumbing was replaced, and a new water heater was installed. The entire main level flooring, including the stairs to the basement were replaced with seamless luxury vinyl plank. A new wood railing was designed to align with the home’s updated style.

The kitchen underwent a full redesign centered around a large, custom furniture-style island in white oak with hidden cabinetry and gorgeous quartz countertops that flow into a slab backsplash. A coffee bar was added with integrated pantry storage. New appliances were installed, and updated lighting was incorporated throughout the home. In the living room, the existing fireplace was refinished with new stonework and a custom wood mantel was created to coordinate with the wood from the kitchen island.

The powder room was refreshed with a custom vanity and new fixtures, while the master ensuite was completely reconfigured to maximize style and storage. The ensuite features a large custom white oak double vanity, a spacious spa-style shower with both rain and handheld shower heads, and carefully aligned stonework designed to continue the natural veining pattern throughout. Dual shower niches were integrated for convenient hidden storage. To complete the transformation, ceilings were scraped and retextured for a smooth, modern finish, and all door hardware was replaced to maintain consistency across the home.

This renovation successfully reimagined a dated 1990s home into a beautiful, open-concept space with quality materials and precision craftsmanship.
