This 1880s home underwent a full main-floor renovation designed to create a modern, open, and highly functional space for a young family. Planning began before possession, allowing us to collaborate closely with the homeowners to craft the ideal layout.
Interior walls were removed to create a seamless flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The reconfigured bulkhead and newly opened floor plan, now allow natural light to brighten the entire main level. At the center of the kitchen transformation is a stunning custom white oak island, paired with a beautiful farmhouse-style apron sink inset into quartz countertops. The kitchen features a seamless backsplash, white oak shelving, and a layout that strategically uses the surrounding windows to enhance the space.
New flooring throughout the main level and fresh carpet upstairs provide a clean, modern foundation. Updated lighting and fresh paint bring cohesion and warmth to every room.
The kitchen saw the most dramatic change, redesigned for maximum efficiency and storage. Custom cabinetry includes a dedicated pantry with a microwave shelf, integrated cutting-board storage slots, and abundant drawers. Thoughtful organization was a top priority, with features like a pull-out trash and recycling center and extensive built-in storage. A custom white oak fridge surround adds an elegant finishing touch, tying the design together.
This renovation blends elevated craftsmanship with thoughtful, family-focused design—delivering a main floor that is as practical as it is beautiful.
